Goal: Develop a smart pacifier that is able to detect acidity levels in the baby’s saliva as a biomarker for acid reflux and airway complications in infants. Also, the pacifier would track the baby's temperature and heath rate. The data is sent to users' mobile devices that can help parents understand the symptoms, and also help streamline physicians’ decision-making process.
Overview: As CTO of the start-up, my role was to lead the engineering team to design and create a fully functioning prototype. However, I love hands-on projects so I built the proof-of-concept utilizing sourced components. This went on to secure the company ~$30k in funding.
